Hi, I'm Jamie.

Photographer and videographer, dive instructor and long-time poker fan, based in Brisbane and always happy to travel.

Ten years behind the lens

Definitive Imaging

I've spent around ten years developing my craft, and it's taken me from wedding dances and family sunsets to poker tables, expo floors and coral reefs.

Today I photograph and film weddings, events, commercial projects and portraits. My work has won awards, and I hold every job to the same standard of quality and professionalism, whether it's a once-in-a-lifetime wedding or a corporate promo.

Video has become a big part of what I do. Moving images carry a wealth of emotion, and I love capturing them, from full-day wedding films to commercial promos, school and charity videos, and expo events.

How I work

Real moments, no fuss

I usually reply quickly, unless I'm out on a shoot or somewhere without phone signal.

Candid and naturalI look for the genuine moments: the emotion, the laughter and the bits in between. At weddings I balance heartfelt moments with plenty of humour.
Classic and candidFamily sessions mix classic posed portraits with relaxed, playful moments, so you get the frame-worthy shot and the real one.
Where you're comfortablePeople and pets show their best side somewhere they love: the beach, the park, your garden or at home.
Photo and videoOne person for both means one plan, one style and nothing missed.
Brisbane-basedAlways happy to travel for the right job.
Quality firstEvery gallery is carefully edited, and I'm only happy when you are.

Poker

Poker has been a passion of mine for a long time, and for several years I've photographed poker tours and events right around Australia.

Highlights include the 2024 APL Million, the largest poker field ever held in Australia with over 3,100 players. I cover player portraits, wide room shots, marketing images and video.

Wildlife · Underwater

Out in the field

Away from client work, I spend as much time as I can photographing wildlife and nature, and sharing it on Instagram and in my "In The Field" YouTube series.

I'm also a dive instructor, which means I get to work in some magical places. The best part is floating motionless, surrounded by busy, colourful fish. My underwater work has been published in WildPlanet Photo Magazine, which also ran a "Spotlight On" feature about me.
